Well they still do have one normal 6 minute talk a month where you get more creative freedom, but they only let a few brothers in my hall do that. We'll see how long I stay on the list, my days may be numbered 🤐

Why use phrases used by other churches if you are presenting a purely Christian message? It would obviously raise red flags.
What I said was: I use words/phrases "including" those used "more often" by the churches. I don't mean words that are unique to other churches, because I think that all denominations are junk. I mean words/phrases that ARE biblical, but JWs still shy away from and substitute with their own in-house lingo that has additional, extra-biblical implications.
For instance:
If I use a JW-ism to refer to a biblical concept, then that brings along other doctrinal baggage into the audiences minds. If I use a new/rarely used phrase, it gives them a fresh start to look at something from scratch.

No, I'm a Christian, (I take what some call 'mass' privately at home) and as such I use the name Jehovah moderately. The New Testament writers didn't use the Name casually, because Christians are supposed to be adopted as God's sons figuratively. People generally don't call their dad by his first name, it's viewed as disrespectful. So I mostly say God and/or Father.

For the past few years all my comments and talks have been a purely Christian message. I tiptoe around WT dogma and focus on the basics of love, life compassion, etc. And I DELIBERATELY do NOT use JW terminology whenever I can. I always substitute alternate words/phrases, including those used more often by the churches. The so-called 'nobodies', the 'amharets' in the congregation love it. I get so much commendation for the content of my talks/comments from the lowly ones in the Hall, especially sisters. But the elders seem to be viewing me with more and more suspicion as I never mention the organization anymore, talk too much about Jesus and forgiveness, and sometimes bring up embarrassing facts about the org's history under various guises. I was taken to the back room and counciled once for mentioning 1925 and 1975. They said, 'You wouldn't air your family's dirty laundry would you? So don't do it to the organization.'
one poster here mentioned how, after he was appointed as an elder, things took on a more "corporate" feel.
i was an ms and as such went, dutifully, to the bi-annual meetings with the co. i was sorely disappointed.
i had imagined sort of a round-table discussion of trends and potential difficulties in the congregation, along with a coordinated effort to help people out.

Ok I'm getting angry again. The lack of logic, the platitudes, the circular reasoning, the slander, it all makes me want to scream right in the middle of my congregation "Don't you get it???!" but they just keep sleeping.
our dog needed some serius surgery recently & my wife (still in) was very concerned that if he needed a blood transfusion she thought this would constitute a misuse of blood.
i was stunned as never heard of this.. is this a thing?
i left 12 years ago & wondered if it's always been or introduced in the years after my leaving.. any info would be great.. phats.
It's ironic:
JWs can take something made from cows blood, who have died, and this if anything is closer to a violation of the command to give life back when it is taken by pouring the blood out after killing an animal. However, JWs can't take blood from a human who didn't die to give it.

Yes I'm not sure if they've repeated that any time more recently, but since it's still 'in the books' and hasn't been replaced it's still technically law. My COTBOE mentioned this in a talk just a few years ago and was saying how important it was to know the ingredients of dog food, not give your dog a transfusion during an operation, etc.
It's ridiculous because if it's wrong to use blood as fertilizer then why did God say to pour it on the ground? If it's wrong to feed it to animals, then why do carnivores always eat meat with the blood? If animals are under the same laws as JW humans, then why should we let chickens practice polygamy, miss meetings, or masturbate pigs, etc. for animal husbandry

Yes, there are a number of secondary corporations like the WTS of NY, Florida, Canada, Christian Congregation of JWs, etc. But what we're talking about here is the main original one: WTS of Pennsylvania that Russell started. It isn't just used for legal issues, it holds the copyright to nearly ALL publications, owns loads of property and much more.
